About Peruvian Pima Cotton

Peruvian Pima Cotton is widely regarded as one of the finest and most luxurious cotton fibres in the world. Known for its exceptionally soft feel, long fibres and beautiful natural lustre, it creates a smooth, silky yarn with a lovely drape and breathability.

Its long fibres help create a strong, smooth yarn with less tendency to pill, while its natural softness makes it wonderful for garments, accessories and other projects worn close to the skin. Its smooth surface also gives knitted and crocheted fabrics beautiful stitch definition.

Care Instructions

Gently hand wash in cool water. Avoid harsh detergents and excessive agitation. Gently squeeze out excess water and lay flat to dry.

As with all hand-dyed yarn, we recommend washing your finished project separately the first few times, as some colour may release during washing.

💡 Planning a larger project? We recommend purchasing enough yarn from the same dye lot where possible. Because every skein is individually hand dyed, colour placement and intensity can vary slightly between skeins.
